About Hands On CSR

Hands On CSR works with renowned corporate firms to ensure that they are able to do their corporate social duties. They ensure that there is a deeper involvement between the company staff or volunteering and Hands On CSR to bring a considerable and positive change in the community.

The volunteers dedicate their available time and effort to participate in socially responsible projects. They happily contribute and interact with the members of the society around them, who belong to a completely different world and culture. While the volunteers take back rich learning experiences that they can cherish for years, the community is benefited due to advanced and new practices.

Hands On CSR has a rich experience of working closely with many corporations to help underprivileged communities. One of the major parts of the company initiatives is CSR. Hands On CSR helps the companies become a proud part of a project that aims to identify gaps in society and offer help. These developmental projects create overall development of the Communities including income generation, environmental benefits, education projects, etc.

Objectives

• The projects like creating sustainable agriculture and farming provide the farmers with hands-on experience of learning natural farming methods that are not only a profitable proposition for them but for the consumers too.
• To work with various companies on these projects and involve the company volunteers to know the details of agriculture and farming.
• To dedicate time and effort to create an encouraging atmosphere in the company employees visit to the outskirts of the city and attend various activities.
• To help the corporations learn, envision, achieve, and perform for the society’s good.
• Engaging the employees in social activities gives them a change from their daily work routine and develops personal skills and growth.
• Help the community raise their income and knowledge
• To make the volunteers learn about a different culture.
• Building teamwork skills in the volunteers.

Hands On CSR’s solutions

Hands On CSR worked with employees from various companies to perform different activities. These activities included the following:

1. On 19th September 2019, one-day volunteering activity was scheduled. The company associates volunteered and participated in a sustainable agriculture activity at Mayasandra, Anekal. The activities that were done were:

• Corporate volunteers participated in creating sustainable agriculture.
• They spread manure on more than 2 acres of a plot. This activity was called manuring.
• Another significant task was rose harvesting, which they initiated and executed on the same day.
• Then, De-weeding was also performed by them.
• Lastly, the company employees also did Gourd art, which aims to promote local art for value addition.

2. On October 12th, 2019, another volunteering activity called Refinitive Volunteering was carried out by the company associates at VGKK, BR Hills. The objective was to Involve and introduce corporate volunteers to the culture of rural people and tribal areas by engaging them in various volunteering activities. Here are the details of the activities done:

• Pruning the hedge plant was one of the parts of the task.
• Another job was to do the weeding in the science park.
• The planting of fruits was also done.
• Lastly, the volunteers participated in the vegetable cultivation activities.

3. On October 23rd, 2019, a volunteering activity was done as Refinitive Volunteering at VGKK, BR Hills, Karnataka. The objective of the activity was to involve and introduce corporate volunteers to rural as well as the tribal areas in various volunteering activities. The details of the activities are mentioned below:

• Pruning the hedge plant was done.
• Weeding in the science park was one of the important KRA’s.
• Plantation of fruit was also done.
• Vegetable cultivation was carried out.
• Swatch Bharath activity at Heritage places was also conducted.

4. On December 30th, 2019, a volunteering activity was done by Concern India Foundation and Refinitive Volunteering at BR Hills. The objective of the activity was to involve the corporate volunteers in rural as well as tribal areas. Various volunteering activities are detailed below:

• Semi processing of Minor Forest Produce
• Packaging of Minor Forest Produce
• Fruit plantation was done.
• Forestry and ornamental plants plantation also done in govt residential schools.

5. On December 7th and 8th, 2019, a volunteering activity was done as Refinitive Volunteering at BR Hills, Karnataka. The objective of the activity was to involve and introduce corporate volunteers to rural as well as the tribal areas in various volunteering activities. The details of the activities are mentioned below:

• Semi processing of Minor Forest produce
• Packaging of Minor Forest produce
• Fruit plantation was done.
• Forestry and ornamental plants plantation also done in govt residential schools.

Results Achieved

The efforts of volunteers from various companies like Lenovo, etc. were valued. The volunteers’ worked towards a common goal and took home a pleasant memory.

• The company associates stepped out of their comfort zone and participated in various projects.
• Joining a social program in the downtrodden areas created a learning environment for the company associates.
• A happy space was created where the volunteers encouraged the members of different communities to benefit themselves with regular advanced learning.
• The plantation of trees and other agricultural activities was helpful for society.
• The volunteers engaged in effective mutual interaction and performance as a team.
• The volunteers experienced a different culture.
