- Bund Strengthening: The surrounding embankment (bund) was reinforced to prevent erosion and ensure the lake's stability.
- Inlet and Outlet Reconditioning: Inlets and outlets were repaired or replaced to improve water flow and management.
- Lagoon Creation: A designated lagoon area was created to facilitate natural filtration and sewage treatment.
- Plantation: Native trees and plants were planted around the lake to enhance the ecosystem and provide habitat for wildlife.
- Aquatic Plant Introduction: Specific aquatic plants were introduced to promote natural water purification within the lake.
- Natural Sewage Treatment System: The project aimed to establish a natural system for sewage treatment through the development of flora and fauna.
Impact:
Mana Projects' restoration efforts have yielded significant positive impacts:
- Increased Water Capacity: The lake's capacity has been restored, allowing it to hold more water and mitigate flooding risks.
