LAM Research (India) Private Limited: Greening Bangalore with the Community

LAM Research (India) Private Limited, a company dedicated to environmental responsibility and fostering a sustainable future.

Project Objective

To contribute to a greener Bangalore by organizing a community tree plantation event and promoting environmental stewardship.

Activities:

  • Engaging the Community: LAM Research assembled a team of 30 dedicated volunteers who actively participated in planting 500 indigenous tree saplings.
  • Land Preparation: The chosen site, near the Hebbal flyover, underwent thorough preparation to ensure optimal growth for the saplings.
  • Planting Day: On April 15th, 2023, volunteers enthusiastically planted 500 indigenous tree species, each measuring 1-2 feet tall.
  • Technical Expertise: HandsOnCSR provided comprehensive technical guidance and execution throughout the project. This included supervision, logistical support, labor coordination, and the arrangement of water tankers for proper hydration of the newly planted trees.
  • Long-Term Sustainability: The project goes beyond planting by incorporating a comprehensive 3-year maintenance plan. This plan includes mulching, watering, weeding, and replacement of any saplings that may not thrive.

Impact:

LAM Research's initiative has had a significant positive impact on the local environment and community:

  • Increased Green Cover: Planting 500 trees creates a verdant space, beautifying the landscape and improving air quality.
  • Ecological Benefits: The project fosters soil conservation and habitat creation for local wildlife.
  • Community Engagement: The event fostered a sense of environmental responsibility and community spirit among volunteers.

Along with Shipara, we are committed to nurturing the newly planted trees and ensuring their continued growth. This initiative will leave a lasting positive impact on the environment and the lives of people in Bangalore for generations to come.
