Project Objective:
To bridge the educational gap in Karnataka by providing quality STEM education to rural students.
Project Summary:
In collaboration with Connecting the Dots, HandsOnCSR launched a project to deliver live online STEM classes to 424 students across 4 schools in Karnataka.
Project Locations and Beneficiaries:
- Hullegowdanahalli Halli GHS – Bangalore Rural: 102 students
- Navachetan School – Amingad, Bagalkot: 106 students
- HB Colony GHS – Hassan: 115 students
- Huralagere GHS – Malur: 101 students
Total Students: 424
Activities:
- Online STEM Classes: Students received live online STEM classes, interactive learning materials, periodic tests, quiz competitions, and hands-on science kits.
- Teacher Training: The project invested in teacher training programs to equip educators with the skills to effectively deliver STEM education.
Significant Activities:
- Periodic Tests: Two periodic tests were conducted to evaluate student learning outcomes.
- Quiz Competition: A quiz competition was organized to foster intellectual curiosity and active participation.
- Science Kits: Science kits were provided to schools to enhance practical learning.
- Teacher Training: A 5-week teacher training program focused on effective STEM teaching methodologies.
