Project 2: Greener School Initiative

Project Objective:

To promote environmental sustainability and create a greener learning environment at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Residential School in Thagadur, Mysore district.

Activities:

• Horticulture Plantation: 200 saplings were planted on the school campus, including pit digging, manure application, staking, basin making, plantation, drip irrigation setup, and watering.
• Rainwater Harvesting: A rainwater harvesting system was installed to conserve water resources.
• Solar Power: A 12 kW solar plant was installed to provide off-grid power for the school.

Impact:

• Greener Campus: The project transformed the school campus into a greener and more sustainable environment.
• Educational Opportunities: The initiative provided students with hands-on experience in environmental conservation.
